For those of you with SB, how much time do you spend using it relative to normal AM? I usually listen to SW broadcast AM, especially pacific  and east euopean news. SSB is no use for that.However, once in a while If I'm home during the day (kids sick or whatever), just for funsies I monitor one or more military air frequencies. The traffic on these is always SSB, usually USB. But my SSB use is minimal compaired to AM.

I usually scan thru Air Force, Coast Guard, Navy, and oceanic-crossing airliners. Once a week I might tune in BBC World Service. Air Force One, or other VIP traffic, is a nice catch occasionaly. If I'm not actually at the radio, I leave it tuned to the USCG SAR freqs. Search and Rescue is real-life drama that keeps me on the edge of my seat. Lee Johnson
