I took my van in today to get the brakes fixed. I was gonna have to wait for 4 hours...and I called everyone I knew who could come and get me..NO ONE answered. Luckily, the guy there had pity on me and said, Hey, I'll drive you home and then drive your car back.  I was kinda nervous about it..but I did it anyways. So I'm home with no vehicle..but it beats waiting there for four hours. I hate car repairs.   Do you guys sit and wait...or arrange rides back and forth??? Cindi

That's what we do.  My husband and I work it out.   Right now it means that today and tomorrow I have no car.  I had to phone another Mom to pick up Cole from pre-school.   I find it very hard to ask people to do things like that for me...I guess I'm independent or just afraid to impose.   She was more than happy to help me out and offered to pick him up and drop him off.  How sweet is that.   Monique

Judy and I are a one car family now that she's retired. We live outside of town but fortunately for us, we have a wonderful place less than 1/2 mile down thr road that we use so we can walk home when we leave the car to be repaired. Pudge
